Arab Finance: Egypt’s agricultural exports have witnessed a significant rise from the beginning of this year until October 16th, reaching 6.9 million tons at a value of approximately $4.37 billion, as per a statement.
This marks an increase of $980 million and 574,000 tons compared to the same period last year.
The report listed citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, beans, sweet potatoes, and mangoes as the most significant export products.
The report highlighted that citrus fruits topped the list of exports with over 2.27 million tons, followed by fresh potatoes at nearly 973,130 tons.
Onions ranked third with exports totaling 281,785 tons.
Beans, including both fresh and dry varieties, took fourth place with 225,035 tons exported.
Grapes followed closely, ranking fifth with 179,993 tons, while sweet potatoes secured the sixth spot with 153,736 tons exported.
Mangoes ranked seventh with 103,003 tons.
Pomegranate exports reached 60,624 tons, placing them eighth on the list of top exports.
Tomato exports amounted to 37,146 tons, securing ninth place, while garlic exports reached 24,237 tons, ranking tenth.
