Arab Finance: The trade exchange between Egypt and Belgium reached around €2.1 billion in 2023, Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib stated.

This came during El-Khatib’s meeting with Chairman of the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency Didier Malherbe to mull over cementing trade and investment ties between both countries.

During the meeting, El-Khatib expressed the country’s interest in being included in the high-level foreign economic missions sponsored by the Belgian government with the participation of major Belgian companies.

The meeting also touched upon exchanging the organization of trade missions at the level of the three Belgian regions.
