BRICS calls Egypt for permanent membership as of 2024

Arab Finance: The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the BRICS bloc of developing nations invited Egypt to join the group as of 2024, according to Ahram Gate.

The bloc has also invited five other countries to become new members, namely Argentina, Iran, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, Reuters reported on August 24th.

It is worth noting that earlier in March, El-Sisi approved an agreement that allows the country to join the New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS bloc.
