Egypt, Venezuela probe ways of boosting bilateral petroleum cooperation

Arab Finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Gil Pinto to discuss methods of strengthening cooperation in the fields of oil and natural gas and petrochemicals, according to a statement by the Egyptian ministry on November 8th.
Both officials stressed the necessity of reactivating the joint Egyptian-Venezuelan committee in light of the distinguished capabilities enjoyed by Egypt’s petroleum sector.
Pinto also pointed out the possibility of expanding cooperation with the Egyptian side in the field of mining as Egypt has large untapped mining resources.
During the meeting, it was agreed to form a working team from both sides to develop a road map for cooperation in the near future in various petroleum fields.
