Arab Finance: Egyptian Finance Minister expressed his country’s aspiration to the European Investment Bank (EIB) to provide more support for social and climate change projects in Egypt, according to a statement by the ministry on February 10^th.

Maait’s words came during a meeting with a delegation from the EIB, headed by Lionel Rapaille, director of neighboring countries at the bank.

The Egyptian Finance Minister said that international and regional financing institutions can contribute to facilitating developing countries' access to affordable, low-cost financing, especially in light of the global economic challenges.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Finance for Economic Affairs, Sherine ElSharkawy, indicated that the government is looking forward to increasing the EIB's support to develop the capabilities of workers in the field of industry to enhance the Egyptian exports to other markets.
