ArabFinance: Egyptian Electricity Transmission (EETC) inked two contracts with the Belgian consultant Elia Grid, under which the former will provide consulting services for Egypt’s sectors of electricity, new and renewable energy, according to a statement by the cabinet on January 18th.
The first 9-month contract includes providing consulting services for Egypt’s dynamic model of the unified electrical network, as well as preparing for future electrical interconnection projects with neighboring countries and the European continent.
This is in addition to preparing the necessary scenarios to deal with any emergency conditions.
As per the second contract, Elia Grid will provide advisory services related to Egypt’s renewable energies and green hydrogen projects.
