Arab Finance: GB Corp has launched a new subsidiary, Kredit, to support small- and medium-sized enterprises in the Egyptian market, according to a press release. 

The new SME lending company has already obtained its license from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

“Our primary goal is to bridge the financing gap faced by these businesses and provide them with expertise and support their need to thrive,” Managing Director of Kredit Ahmed Emam stated.

“By empowering SMEs, we aim to stimulate local production, boost employment rates, and drive business growth, all while fostering economic sustainability,” he added.

SMEs are very important to emerging markets like Egypt, where they make up more than 75% of businesses and create a large number of job opportunities.
