Egypt to launch national industrial strategy in October

Arab Finance: Egypt will launch the national industrial strategy in cooperation with an international partner on October 25th, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir told Asharq Business on September 12th.

The strategy is set to link the Egyptian industry with the global industrial sector’s variables.

Samir also revealed that Egypt has prepared a draft law on industries benefiting from tax exemptions that will be presented to the House of Representatives in early October.

The minister added that the Egyptian government will extend the tax exemption period for some private industries to 10 years instead of five.
