Imposing import fees on billets and rebar would increase prod. cost, Ataqa

ArabFinance: Misr National Steel – Ataqa (ATQA) stated that resolution No. 907 issued on Oct. 10, 2019, regarding imposing temporary import fees on iron billets and on steel rebar, would increase production costs exceeding 16% of total costs.

Egypt has imposed temporary import fees of 16% on iron billets and 25 percent on steel rebar for three years, the trade and industry ministry said on Friday.
