Cairo Poultry awarded 2020 Sustainability Award in Egypt

ArabFinance: Cairo Poultry Company (CPC) received the 2020 Sustainability Award in Egypt from Chr. Hansen Animal Health, according to the company's recent release.  

The award is given to a select few poultry production companies in the Middle East and Africa region for their continued focus to achieve sustainability goals with the help of Chr. Hansen's GalliPro probiotic.

Chr. Hansen is a Denmark-based global bioscience company that develops natural solutions for the food, beverage, nutritional, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries.

The listed company posted a consolidated net profit before minority interest stood at EGP 110,846,131 in the January-September period of 2020, compared to EGP 152,040,926 achieved in the prior-year period.

CPC, a subsidiary of Kuwait Food Company, is an Egypt-based company that operates in the farming and food processing sectors.

The listed firm focuses on the breeding and fattening chicks, production of animal feed, and hatching of eggs, as well as participating in similar projects inside and outside Egypt.
