Cairo Oils narrows losses in 9 months

ArabFinance: Cairo Oils and Soap (COSG) suffered a net loss of EGP 48.78 million during the first nine months of 2021, compared to EGP 56.46 million in the same period of 2020, according to the company’s filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

During the first half of 2021, the company incurred a net loss of EGP 34.75 million, compared to EGP 36 million in the year-ago period.

Cairo for Oils, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Food Industries, is an Egypt-based holding company engaged in the manufacture, processing, packaging, import, export and distribution of different types of seeds for the production of oil and soap.

The company primarily uses cotton seeds and soya beans for processing and producing cooking oil, soap and detergent products under several brands.
