EG Bank logs EGP 406.6M consolidated profit in H1

Arab FinanceEgyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) (EGBE) registered a 27% year-on-year (YoY) surge in consolidated net profit after tax during the first half (H1) of 2022, according to the unaudited consolidated financial statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on August 21st.

The bank’s consolidated net profit after tax soared to EGP 406.63 million in H1 2022 from EGP 320.201 million in H1 2021.

Interest income grew 4% to EGP 3.831 billion in the six-month period ended June 30th from EGP 3.682 billion during the same period a year earlier.

EG Bank is engaged in the provision of corporate, retail, and investment banking services through a network of 16 branches located across Egypt.
