Arab Finance: Golden Pyramids Plaza (GPPL) posted a 134.05% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated profit attributable to the parent company during the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, according to financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.
The company reported a consolidated profit excluding minority interest of $26.92 million in Q1 2022, up from $11.502 million in the same period a year earlier.
Operating revenue rose to $43.337 million in the three months ended on March 31st from $35.245 million in the comparative period the year before.
It is worth noting that the company recorded a standalone net profit after tax of $26.99 million in Q1 2022, compared to $10.159 million in Q1 2021.
Established in 1991 and listed on EGX in 1997, Golden Pyramids Plaza operates within the consumer services sector focusing on hotels, resorts, and cruise lines.
