Arab Finance: Honeywell has appointed Khaled Hashem as President of the recently consolidated Middle East and Africa (MEA) region for the company, as per an emailed press release to Arab Finance.
Accordingly, Hashem will be in charge of Honeywell’s strategy for MEA, which focuses on driving the company’s global alignment to the three megatrends of automation, the future of aviation, and the energy transition.
He will be also responsible for developing a diversified portfolio of products and solutions designed for the local market, activating key customer engagements and building the talent and leadership pipeline.
“I am immensely proud of both our presence and impact across the Middle East and Africa region and am excited about what more we can do as we expand our focus on the three megatrends,” Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO, High Growth Regions at Honeywell, said.
“Honeywell continues to be well positioned for growth in the region and I am confident that Khaled will be able to capitalize on these opportunities to help further expand and embed our business,” Maheshwari added.
In 2016, Khaled joined Honeywell as President of Egypt and Libya, he then expanded his responsibilities to lead all of North Africa in 2019.
“The impact of Honeywell’s products, tools and technology is part of almost every facet of our daily life, and to have the opportunity to lead such a historic organization across this region is something I am extremely proud of,” Hashem said.
