GAFI signs agreement with Foresight Consulting to support sustainable growth

Arab Finance: The CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba and the CEO of Foresight Consulting Hatem Zaazou have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in market studies, investor advisory services, and strategies that promote sustainable growth, as per a statement.

Under the agreement, GAFI will provide Foresight with data on Egypt’s business environment, investment opportunities, and priority sectors.

In return, Foresight will offer economic advisory services to GAFI and companies seeking to invest or expand in Egypt.

These services include market studies, customer behavior analysis, tailored market entry strategies, and support in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) compliance.

The company will also assist firms in preparing sustainability reports and adhering to disclosure standards.

Zaazou emphasized that Foresight, with 27 years of experience across more than 20 sectors in Egypt and abroad, has helped businesses achieve long-term stable growth.

He stated that the company aims to support the authority in fostering a responsible and transparent investment climate.

As part of the partnership, Foresight will prepare the authority’s annual sustainability report, which will assess environmental and societal sustainability efforts, challenges facing both government and private initiatives, and Egypt’s commitment to international business standards.

Heiba highlighted the GAFI’s ongoing efforts to integrate the private sector into investment promotion and business environment improvements.

He noted that this approach has led to policies aligned with business needs, international partnerships, private sector contributions to social responsibility, and the inclusion of hundreds of new investment opportunities on Egypt’s investment map.
