Arab Finance: Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries Company (ABUK) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ABB Group, MPS Infrastructure, and Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (Petrojet) to provide green hydrogen and renewable energy to North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients Company’s project, as per a statement.

The project aims to produce green ammonia which is used as a raw material for the production of granulate ammonium nitrate fertilizers with a daily capacity of 2,400 tons.

The MoU came within the framework of North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients’ plans to reduce carbon emissions.

It is worth noting that Abu Qir Fertilizers holds a stake of 45% in North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients Company.
