Egypt releases $8B worth of essential goods since March

Arab Finance: The Egyptian government has released essential goods worth over $8 billion at ports since March, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait announced.

Maait added that his ministry is working with all state agencies to confront any import practices that lead to the accumulation of goods in the ports.

The minister said that goods left accumulated in the ports without legal justification until the end of March 2023 will be categorized as "neglected," and appropriate legal actions will be taken regarding them.
