GAFI hosts Entrepreneurship and Startups Unit’s 1st advisory council meeting

Arab Finance: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) hosted the first meeting of the advisory council of its Entrepreneurship and Startups Unit, as per a statement by the authority.
It is worth noting that GAFI launched the headquarters of the Entrepreneurship and Startups Unit as well as the unit’s electronic platform in May.
The unit aims to communicate with entrepreneurs to get acquainted with the challenges facing them, along with their proposals and ideas to develop solutions in order to promote the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt.
Moreover, a voluntary advisory council, fully represented by the private sector and entrepreneurs, was also formed.
The council assists the unit in proposing policies, laws, and regulations that support the growth and prosperity of start-ups in Egypt.
The council’s work plan will be ready within the coming period, head of the council Mohamed Famy said.
