Siemens Healthineers Egypt inks 2 educational MoUs to boost technician training

Arab Finance: Siemens Healthineers Egypt has signed two educational memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Mansoura University, according to an emailed press release.

As per the signings, Siemens Healthineers Academy is set to provide theoretical and practical training for technicians for three years.

The MoUs were signed during the Africa Health ExCon 2024, which was held from June 3rd to 6th at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in Cairo.

During the event, Siemens Healthineers outlined its keenness to cooperate with the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) on advancing healthcare services and expanding medical technologies throughout the region.

One of the key projects with UPA and MOH is the Mammography bulk order for the Presidential Initiative for Women’s Health, which involves the supply of 90 mammography systems across the country, from Alexandria to Aswan, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030.

Siemens Healthineers Egypt further supports the Women’s Health Initiative through the provision of eight mobile units equipped with state-of-the-art mammography systems.

These mobile units are tailored to facilitate early detection and screening in remote areas and reduce advanced-stage diagnoses, and promote health awareness among women

"Our contribution to the Presidential Initiative for Women’s Health underscores our commitment to improving access to care and outcomes for cancer patients across Egypt. By providing advanced mammography systems and mobile units, we aim to make early detection and preventive care more widely available, particularly for women in remote and underserved areas," Amro Kandil, Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers Egypt, said.
