Arab Finance: Infinity Power and Sierra Leone's Ministry of Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a renewable energy project with a combined capacity of 1 gigawatt by 2033, as per an emailed press release.

The project aims to boost Sierra Leone's electricity generation capabilities and support its energy infrastructure.

It includes the installation of solar panels both on land and water, hydroelectric power projects, battery storage systems, and wind energy.

The project is expected to provide energy access, create job opportunities, and help Sierra Leone achieve its environmental goals.

Infinity Power will conduct feasibility studies, secure necessary approvals, and finalize power purchase agreements with the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) in Sierra Leone.

The agreement also involves developing 200 megawatts of renewable energy capacity, expanding hydroelectric dam capabilities, and installing solar energy systems on various sites.
