GAFI offers projects for partnership with private sector in several fields

Arab Finance: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has offered a bundle of projects for partnership with the private sector, GAFI’s CEO Hossam Heiba told Hapi Journal.

The bundle includes 30 projects in the healthcare sector, 16 in the education sector, and a large number of land plots available under the usufruct system for tourism projects, Heiba highlighted.

Furthermore, Heiba revealed ongoing negotiations with Chinese investors to implement seven to eight mega projects in the sectors of new and renewable energy, engineering industries, and textiles with investments exceeding $100 million.

This is in addition to up to 10 projects being discussed with Türkiye, including seven new ones as well as existing ones with limited production capacity.

Moreover, Heiba disclosed that the authority finalized studying eight golden licenses and submitted them to the cabinet for approval.

These licenses include projects in the energy, engineering, and university and basic education sectors.
