El-Sisi, German President discuss strengthening ties

Arab Finance: The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Al-Ittihadiya Palace to mull ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, as per a statement.
Accompanied by a delegation of top German business leaders, Steinmeier's visit marks the first by a German president in 25 years.
El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s interest in benefiting from Germany’s industrial and technological expertise, particularly through joint projects and the transfer of skills by German companies.
Steinmeier reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to enhancing ties in areas such as development, investment, energy, and security, and expressed his pride in the recent opening of the German International University in the New Administrative Capital.
During the meeting, regional issues, including the Gaza conflict, were also discussed.
