Petroleum Minister discusses future collaboration with TotalEnergies, Capricorn Energy

Arab Finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held separate meetings with officials from TotalEnergies and Capricorn Energy to discuss ongoing activities and future plans in Egypt’s oil and gas sector, as per a statement.
During the meeting with TotalEnergies, the focus was on leveraging modern technologies and strategic partnerships to enhance exploration and production.
The possibility of linking natural gas production from Total’s Cypriot fields to Egyptian facilities was also explored, positioning Egypt as a regional gas hub.
In the meeting with Capricorn Energy, the discussion centered around renewable energy and investment opportunities in the company’s concession areas.
Both sides emphasized the importance of increasing production to support financial sustainability and growth in the sector.
