Egypt, ITFC probe enhanced petroleum sector collaboration

Arab Finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with the CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) Hani Salem Sonbol and his accompanying delegation to explore ways to deepen petroleum cooperation, as per a statement.

The meeting focused on strengthening ties within the framework of the ITFC's ongoing support for Egypt’s petroleum sector, a partnership that has been active since 2008.

The ITFC has been instrumental in financing the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) to secure crude oil and petroleum products amidst global economic challenges.

Sonbol reaffirmed ITFC’s commitment to providing integrated commercial solutions and necessary funding for new oil and gas initiatives in Egypt.
