INTRO Technology, Oman Data Park ink $450M MoU to build Kemet Data Center in SCZone

Arab Finance: INTRO Technology, the tech arm of INTRO Holding and parent company of Advansys and Forte Cloud, has signed a $450 million memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Oman Data Park to establish the Kemet Data Center in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), as per an emailed press release.

This partnership aims to provide cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and digital transformation for markets in Africa and the Middle East.

The 80,000-square-meter Kemet Data Center will be developed in two phases, offering companies scalable and cost-effective cloud services.

The center will benefit from Egypt's location and infrastructure to improve data processing and latency.

It will also incorporate sustainable technologies, including solar power, to reduce its environmental impact.

Advansys will manage the project through its Center of Excellence, while Oman Data Park will oversee design and operations.

This project supports SCZone’s goals to attract investment and make use of its position along major undersea communication cables.
