Arab Finance: The Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held an extensive meeting with representatives from 15 French companies interested in investing in Egypt, as per a statement.

The discussions took place in Paris during a session organized by Credit Agricole at the end of the second day of El-Khatib’s visit to Paris.

The session focused on the opportunities available in the Egyptian market across various production and service sectors, as well as the possibility of companies benefiting from these investment opportunities.

El-Khatib also met with the Deputy CEO of Safran, a company specializing in aircraft engines and spare parts, to discuss the company’s expansion plans in Egypt, building on its previous cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Commercial Office in Paris helped Safran open a representative office in Egypt in early 2023.

Furthermore, the minister met with officials from the French investment bank Bpifrance, which aims to strengthen its presence in financial guarantee and project financing services.
