Arab Finance: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir met with representatives of the Polish furniture manufacturer Padma to discuss the company’s plan to establish a major industrial complex in New Alamein City, as per a statement.
The project, covering 400,000 square meters, will focus on manufacturing furniture products for export to European and American markets, with an investment of €70 million.
The meeting, attended by Chairman of Padma, Ahmed Magdy, CEO of Padma Egypt , and Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center Doaa Salima, explored the details of the planned complex.
During the discussion, El-Wazir emphasized the government's commitment to providing full support to the project, including expediting the process of obtaining industrial licenses and facilitating investment procedures.
The Minister directed the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) to speed up the process of establishing the project under the private free zone system.
