Egypt, Euroclear mull bolstering financial cooperation

Arab Finance: The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Belgian financial services provider Euroclear have probed boosting financial cooperation and expanding the group’s activities in Egypt, as per a statement.

This came during a meeting between Investment Minister Hassan El-Khatib, officials at Euroclear, and Deme Hyport Energy’s General Manager Giuseppe Stefani.

During the meeting, El-Khatib reviewed Deme Hyport Energy’s green hydrogen and green ammonia ongoing project in Egypt, as well as investment opportunities in the Egyptian market.

For his part, Stefani expressed his company’s interest in expanding in the Egyptian market, noting that the first phase of the firm’s project in Egypt amounts to €3 billion in investments, with the project’s total investments valued at €24 billion.
