Remittances from Egyptian abroad jump 65.5% YoY in August

Arab Finance: Remittances from Egyptians abroad rose by 65.5% in August 2024, reaching $2.6 billion, compared to $1.6 billion in the same month last year, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed on November 11th.

In the first eight months of 2024, total remittances amounted to about $18.1 billion, marking a 36.4% increase from the $13.3 billion recorded during the same period in 2023.
