Arab Finance: M42, an Abu Dhabi-based AI-driven healthcare firm, is considering new expansion opportunities in Egypt as part of its strategy to extend its advanced healthcare services globally, Bloomberg reported.
Established in 2023 through a merger of assets held by two of Abu Dhabi’s major investment firms, M42 is actively assessing options in Egypt and other countries, with CEO Hasan Jasem Al Nowais confirming ongoing discussions with Egyptian stakeholders about potential plans.
M42's expansion ambitions center on integrating artificial intelligence to improve healthcare delivery, a technology that has already been deployed in their home market of Abu Dhabi.
Over the next three to five years, the firm plans to use AI for diagnostics and drug discovery.
The company has been already using AI to boost productivity, which successfully contributed to lowering costs by 20% and boosting radiologist productivity by 30%.
Al Nowais also said that M42 will depend on support from both Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala and AI firm G42 to push its ambitions.
