Arab Finance: The Facility Investing for Employment (IFE) has signed two grant agreements with Al Rofayda Hospital for Women and Children and Luna for Perfumes and Cosmetics to support economic empowerment for women in the workforce, as per an emailed press release.
The cooperation aims to create 1,308 new jobs in Egypt, with nearly half of these positions are designated for women.
“It is a privilege, that the German Financial Cooperation through KfW Development Bank and through the regional facility 'Investing for Employment' (IFE), on behalf of the German government, can contribute in Egypt to this important agenda,” Christoph Schaefer, Director KfW Office Cairo, said.
During the signing ceremony, Steffen Kuhl, Managing Director of IFE, noted that the agreements, worth €8.56 million, will provide 857 new jobs at Al Rofayda Hospital and 451 at Luna.
Kuhl added that these projects will improve working conditions and increase job quality, especially for women.
