Arab Finance: Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie held virtual talks with A.P. Moller-Maersk Group's CEO Vincent Clerc and other senior executives to explore ways to enhance cooperation, as per a statement.

The discussions also addressed recent developments in the Red Sea and Bab El Mandab region and their impact on the group's shipping plans.

Rabie emphasized the longstanding strategic partnership with Maersk, highlighting the company’s role in supporting global trade and supply chains.

He noted positive indicators in the Red Sea that should be considered when formulating navigation plans for the coming period.

Clerc expressed appreciation for Egypt’s efforts to restore stability to the region and reiterated Maersk’s commitment to closely monitoring developments.

He welcomed the signs of improving conditions and expressed hope that the coming weeks would bring further calm, benefiting navigation and trade.
