Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the government has no intention of altering the architectural identity of downtown Cairo, as per a statement.
All the buildings are heritage and of great value, and the government is working to preserve them, he said during his weekly press conference, which resumed after a one-week pause due to Eid al-Fitr.
Commenting on global developments, Madbouly said the world is undergoing a comprehensive trade and economic war with widespread repercussions.
He noted that Egypt, like other countries, experienced capital outflows from financial instruments such as treasury bills and bonds in recent days.
Madbouly said the government’s top priority is to protect economic stability and sustain growth.
He has tasked the economic group with developing clear scenarios to respond to challenges, and a meeting with the Economic Advisory Committee will be held next week to review proposed measures.
The Egyptian premier stressed the need to deepen trade partnerships, secure essential needs, and continue supporting local production and foreign direct investment.
To reassure citizens, he said, “Our situation is stable. All our needs are met, and we are working hard on this, including energy to meet our needs next summer.”
