Arab Finance: Chinese hygiene products manufacturer Jieya Egypt has laid the foundation stone for a $67 million industrial complex in the Ain Sokhna Integrated Zone, with production scheduled to begin within two years, as per a statement.
The project, a subsidiary of Tongling Jieya Biologic Technology Co., Ltd., will span around 160,000 square meters within a new 2.86-square-kilometer expansion developed by TEDA Egypt.
The complex is expected to create approximately 450 direct jobs and reach an annual production capacity of 8.1 billion single-use hygiene products.
Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Moustafa Shaikhon said the complex reflects SCZONE’s cooperation with its investors and opens a new chapter in its longstanding partnership with TEDA Egypt, which he described as a strategic industrial developer.
He added that SCZONE works closely with its partners to attract investment, localize industries, transfer advanced technology, and strengthen value-chain integration across priority industrial and logistics sectors.
