Egypt and Tunisia are mulling over reinforcing bilateral trade and investment cooperation, with a goal to increase trade volume to EGP 1 billion in the upcoming period.

Egypt intends to double the volume of bilateral trade with Chad, which currently stands at approximately $35 million annually, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib said.

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib and EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic discussed doubling the volume of trade between Egypt and the EU by promoting joint investments.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia are mulling over the possibility of using their local currencies as part of trade exchange in the near future, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service at the Ministry of Trade and Industry Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah said.

Saudi investments in Egypt amount to $6.3 billion in 7,444 projects in the industrial, construction, tourism, services, agriculture, finance, communications, and information technology sectors, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said in a meeting with Saudi Arabian Minister of Commerce Majed Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.

The Egyptian-Swedish Business Forum was launched to bolster economic relations between both countries.
