Egypt amends Capital Market Law to permit hedge fund establishment

The Egyptian cabinet has issued an amendment to the executive regulations of the Capital Market Law, permitting the establishment of hedge funds to invest in all securities.

In addition, traded investment funds will follow a reference index approved by the FRA, and trading of its documents may be registered on the Egyptian Exchanges (EGX) according to the controls issued by the FRA.
