Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Transportation has coordinated with the Jordanian and Iraqi ministries of transport to set an execution plan for the operation of the first stage of the Arab logistics multi-modal trade line, as per a statement.
The line will be used in the transport of all cargo from the Arab Gulf, Iraq, and Jordan, passing by Egypt, to Europe and the US.
The plan aims to connect the ports of Nuweiba and Aqaba on the Gulf of Aqaba via land through Sinai to East Port Said, Damietta, and Alexandria ports to be used for direct maritime transport services between Egyptian, European, and US ports.
Egypt is currently implementing the second phase of the Arab logistics trade line by establishing the railway line Taba/Arish/Bir El-Abd/El-Ferdan at a total length of 500 kilometers to scale up the volume of the cargo targeted to be transported from the Arab Gulf, Iraq, and Jordan to Europe and the US.
