Arab Finance: Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in laying the foundation stone of the fourth power unit at the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Egypt, the Russian News Agency reported, citing Kremlin's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

This marks the end of the preparatory period and the transition to the main stage of capital construction of all units of the plant.

Located in Matrouh governorate, four nuclear power reactors that generate 1,200 megawatts each will be built at the power plant by 2028.

The NPP is scheduled for operation and to reach full capacity by 2030.

“Our cooperation with Egyptian partners in various fields continues, it is our very important partner,” Peskov said.

“We provide better, higher-quality, cheaper services, and it is very difficult for other participants in this market to compete with us,” he added.
