Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has approved adding three entities to the list of its authenticated carbon emissions control projects’ verification and validation bodies for the first time in the Egyptian market, Chairman of FRA Mohamed Farid said in a statement.

To be listed for a one-year period as of the issuance of the FRA’s decision, the three entities are the Center of Organic Agriculture in Egypt (COAE) and TUV NORD Egypt as local bodies and TUV NORD Cert as an international one.

The decision came in an attempt to accelerate the pace of launching a voluntary carbon market in Egypt.
