GAFI studies 10 investment requests for Golden License approval

Arab Finance: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is currently studying 10 requests from investors to obtain the Golden License, three of which will soon be presented to the Egyptian cabinet for approval, Al Arabiya reported, citing CEO Hossam Heiba.

Heiba added that the authority received between 300 and 400 applications from investors to obtain the golden license during the past period.

In 2023, GAFI granted 26 golden licenses for investors.

In August, GAFI issued a new single-approval license for investors as a new version of the golden license.

The new single-approval license is issued for investors within 20 working days, and it covers construction, environmental, civil protection, and any investment activity licenses.
