Arab Finance: Customer deposits at Credit Agricole Egypt reached EGP 60.5 billion at the end of December 2022, rising by 25% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 48.2 billion, according to an emailed press release on February 12th.
Meanwhile, gross loans grew by 13% YoY to EGP 35.1 billion in 2022 from EGP 30.9 million.
The loans to deposits (L/D) ratio recorded 58% at the end of December 31st, compared to a record of 64% in 2021.
It is worth noting that Credit Agricole posted a consolidated net profit after tax of EGP 2.417 billion for 2022, up by 50.25% YoY from EGP 1.609 billion in 2021.
The bank’s standalone net profit after tax was up 51.91% YoY in 2022 reaching EGP 2.419 billion, up from EGP 1.592 billion in 2021.
