Arab Finance: The Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency (EgyptERA) has approved the regulations governing the private-to-private bilateral agreements with respect to production and consumption, as per a statement.
This move is part of the country’s plan to promote investments, apply neutral competitiveness, and empower the private sector in the renewable energy production field.
Specific attention will be given to the implementation of private-to-private agreements concerning consumption and production, with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker said.
