El-Sisi directs to raise Emergency Assistance Fund’s minimum allowance to EGP 1,500

Arab Finance: The Egyptian President has ordered that the minimum allowance provided by the Emergency Assistance Fund for Workers will be raised from EGP 600 to EGP 1,500, ensuring a more substantial support system for each worker, as per a statement.

This came among a comprehensive set of directives announced by El-Sisi during the Labor Day Celebration, aimed at empowering workers and enhancing labor market conditions across the nation.

The President urged the Supreme Council for Social Dialogue to promptly conclude discussions on the draft labor law and called upon the esteemed House of Representatives to expedite deliberations on the draft law.

The Ministry of Manpower will bolster its role in enhancing skills and human resources to meet the demands of both domestic and international labor markets. Efforts will focus on upgrading the vocational training system and drawing from successful experiences in the private sector.

The President also ordered the establishment of s dedicated training center to cater to the training needs of job seekers in the labor market.

He also directed that proactive measures be taken to identify emerging jobs and their associated skill requirements.

A comprehensive national strategy will be developed by the Ministry of Manpower to promote the culture of occupational safety and health. This includes ensuring compliance with safety requirements and providing a secure working environment for all stakeholders.

In addition, efforts will continue to increase the employment rates of women and people of determination.
