GASC secures 50,000 tons of white rice in international tender

Arab Finance: The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has purchased 50,000 tons of white rice in an international tender, Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade announced on February 21^st.

GASC did not disclose the shipment delivery date.

This announcement comes a few days after the government ended its price cap on rice as of February 15^th, despite the three-month extension approved by ministers in mid-December.
