Arab Finance: Egypt and Türkiye are targeting fostering the volume of trade exchange to $15 billion over the coming years, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk stated.
The announcement was made during Kouchouk’s meeting with the Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet ?im?ek on the sidelines of the G20 meetings in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
During the meeting, Kouchouk stressed the Egyptian government’s keenness to boost cooperation with Türkiye in the fields of economic and financial policies.
This is along with exchanging expertise to cope with the global and regional challenges, Kouchouk noted.
He added that Egypt offers investment opportunities for Turkish investors in the infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors.
On February 14th, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Cairo, Egypt for the first time in 10 years to meet with the President Abdelfattah El-Sisi. Both presidents discussed plans to boost trade exchange to $15 billion within the next few years.
