Arab Finance: Egypt’s trade deficit declined by 10.3% year on year (YoY) to $3.57 billion in May, Asharq Business reported, citing data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
This decline was ascribed to the decrease in the import value as well as higher exports.
The value of the country’s imports fell by 5.1% YoY to $7.38 billion last May.
Meanwhile, the value of exports edged up by 0.4% YoY to $3.81.
