Immigration Ministry updates Cars of Egyptians Abroad app

Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha Gendi announced the completion of updating data and applying new adjustments to tax-free car import for expats initiative’s platform Cars of Egyptians Abroad app, the Immigration Ministry stated on March 16^th.

Gendi said that the Immigration Ministry has updated the app and responded to all the demands of expats in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications.

She added that the registration has been extended until May 14^th and customs has been trimmed by 70%, noting that the expats registered on the platform will pay 30% of the customs duty via a five-year certificate of deposit.

Moreover, expats can import cars within a period of five years instead of one year.
