Nasser Bank raises yield on 3-year CDs to 19%

Arab Finance: Nasser Social Bank has raised interest rates on its three-year certificates of deposit (CDs) to 19% annually, 17.75% quarterly, and 17.5% monthly, the Ministry of Social Solidarity stated on March 18th.

The bank has issued a new three-year CDs with a cumulative yield of 22% and a one and a half-year CDs at 20%, to be paid at maturity date, Social Solidarity Minister Nivine El-Kabbag said.

Moreover, the bank has raised interest rate on its three-year CDs for senior citizens, Rad El Gemeel CDs, to 19.25% annually and 17.75% monthly, she added.

The value of these CDs starts from EGP 1,000 and its multiples, and the return is calculated as of the next day of depositing, and it could be redeemed six months after the date of issuance. It could also be used as a guarantee for financing on concessional terms.
