Health Ministry, Roche Pharma sign MoU to support liver cancer patients in Egypt

Arab Finance: Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Swiss biotech firm Roche Pharma to boost medical services provided under the national initiative for early detection and treatment of liver cancer, as stated on May 27^th.

The MoU aims to support patients suffering from hepatocellular carcinoma by offering diagnostic tests for early detection of the disease.

As per the deal, both sides will cooperate in providing diagnostic tests for early detection of liver fibrosis and liver tumors as well as checking liver and kidney functions, Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar noted.

They will also team up to develop 20 vaccination centers for liver cancer patients, he added.
