Arab Finance: Türkiye-based Koc Holding is looking forward to expanding in Egypt, mainly in the sectors of automotive feeding industries, pharmaceuticals, new energy, and home appliances, Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir revealed in a meeting with the company’s representatives in Ankra.
During the meeting, Samir probed cooperation opportunities with representatives of the Turkish industrial services provider to boost its investments in the Egyptian market.
Koc Holding is targeting expansion in the Egyptian market over the coming period by establishing an automotive feeding industries factory as well as a pharmaceuticals factory, the minister noted.
The company is also planning to cooperate with the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) in the fields of new and renewable energy and wind energy, in addition to collaborating in the field of yachts marina, Samir said.
Moreover, it is aiming to collaborate with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) in the field of ovens manufacturing, he added.
The trade ministry is keen to support Koc Holding’s expansion plans in Egypt, which will contribute to meeting the needs of the local market, exporting abroad, and creating further direct and indirect job opportunities, Samir highlighted.
